The KSP Communications Training Officer (CTO) Course provides newly selected KSP CTO personnel with methods and principles of effective training at the local Post level.  A strong emphasis will be placed on the training environment, the need for thorough and consistent post level telecommunications training and will explain the use of evaluation forms and additional documentation required in the Standardized Telecommunications Training Program. Students will learn about Federal laws, vicarious liability, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), stress and the CTO, interpersonal communications, verbal judo, customer service, qualifications of an effective CTO, training a multigenerational workforce, Communications Training Officer Program, standardized training, and the applicable forms.

This 8-hour course aims to refresh and empower current and future trainers, emphasizing their crucial role in setting standards and guiding departments. Covering topics such as how to space training and the effects of stress on learning, we will explore effective strategies rooted in the science of adult learning. Balancing the demands of a high-stress work environment with the complexities of adult learning, the course will equip trainers to meet both learner needs and the objectives of a successful training program.
