Recruit, Retain, and Schedule Making (Frankfort)

with Jason Long

Free

Online registration unavailable

This course is designed to help those who are in charge of recruiting, hiring, and/or schedule-making for their agency. We will discuss ways to recruit employees as well as how to better retain good employees. We will discuss how to hire new employees based on national standards and best practices. We will discuss the different types of shift work to cover a 24-hour schedule and the hurdles associated with that. In addition to that, we will discuss the mental and physical aspects of working shifts. This will help with the retention of employees when we are better able to recognize health concerns from those working shifts and also help them recognize this within themselves. At the end of this course for the last block of instruction, we will discuss how to make a schedule and provide adequate 24-hour coverage while also considering the health aspects of the employees.

**Requirements: Please bring the last couple of schedules from your agency. Also, bring a schedule you have made for your agency. If you have never made one, attempt to make one and bring it to class**
