Kentucky State Police Academy

The Civilian Supervisory Academy is a four-day professional development program designed specifically for KSP civilian supervisors. Participants will build practical skills across a range of supervisory topics including leadership, emotional intelligence, difficult conversations, conflict resolution, team effectiveness, delegation, progressive discipline, documentation, performance management, leave administration, KHRIS, and change management. Each participant will complete a capstone project applying course content to a real challenge from their own branch/post, leaving with a concrete action plan they can implement immediately.

This academy is required for all civilian supervisors hired or promoted within the last three years with no prior supervisory experience with KSP.
