Kentucky State Police Academy

Effective communication skills are essential in the workplace and can provide a variety of benefits including loyalty, trust, and collaboration towards a common goal. This course will focus on the verbal and non-verbal aspects of communication. Students will begin by exploring key theories about the communication process which will segue into listening skills, barriers, strategies, body language, and managing emotions.

This course is intended for all personnel who want to improve their interpersonal communication skills. Though not required, this course is designed to be taken in conjunction with parts 2 & 3 of the Communication Matters Series.

This course is NOT KLEC certified training.
